A Letter to whom it may concern
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am an Australian with both Australian and Irish citizenship. In terms of academic and business background, I gained first class honours in marketing at the University of Western Australia after first completing a degree in Commerce. I have two years experience in the software industry and am a pro-active and resilient achiever with strong project management skills over a broad range of technologies and work processes.
I have successfully managed projects and have designed and taught an intensive project management course for a Singaporean Consulting Group in Indonesia. I am fluent in Italian and Indonesian and have experience in management and sales in telecommunications, retail, heavy industry and software environments in various countries and multi-cultural environments.
I believe that this, combined with the knowledge I have acquired within the field of e-commerce, databases, web publishing and programming makes me highly suited to the varying and intense demands of the IT project manager role.
I see a critical success factor of the role as being the effective facilitation and channelling of communication between the various parties for which I act as an interface and manager. Keeping a team of programmers focused, motivated, informed, and on track with reference to project milestones are all necessary elements in being an effective project manager. Maintaining good client relations whilst guarding against scope creep is also a critical skill.
In terms of the future, I plan on working within the role of project manager for e-commerce solution provision for at least 3 years before considering a position in higher management.
If you believe that there is a match between what your company needs and what my skills and aspirations are then feel free to contact me at the address supplied in my resume which can be found on the following page.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards
Peter Faulkner
